Alberdi Public Library

This institution started as a division of Sarmiento Society Library. It was aimed to the working class and those young people who wanted to improve their quality of life. Between 1903 and 1911, it used to be in front of the main square. With a national government subsidy, a place at 162, 9 de Julio Street, was bought for the library and it is still its location.
              
Many famous national and international artists of literature have visited this public library.


Nowadays, different activities are offered, such as, youth and adult theatre workshop, book borrowing delivery, art exhibitions, books presentations, among others. There is a café in the entrance where handcraft exhibitions are held.
