Sculptor Juan Carlos Iramain used to live in this enormous ancient house. He was the author of the most important monumental pieces of art, for instance, The Christ in the Act of Blessing in San Javier in Tucumán and Petinent Christ in La Caldera, Salta Province. Both sculptures are more than 25 m tall.
Iramain also dedicated to painting and drawing, although his passion was sculpting.
The museum was created in 1973with the aim to preserve his works and arts. Nowadays, Cultural Department of the province is in charge of it. Years of history and talent are waiting for those who would like to admire them.
