Casino Of Tucumán

The Casino of Tucumán is located on Sarmiento Avenue and Maipú Street. Together with the former legislative building and the San Martín Theatre, they are part of an architectural ensemble created in order to promote tourism during winter season in the province.

First, the casino used to be Savoy Hotel. It was founded in 1912 and it used to be one of the most luxurious hotels in the province, where a lot of local and national people stayed. However, it was closed on 1944 due to tax problems. The Government commanded to Popular Saving Bank (Caja Popular de Ahorros) to open a casino.

The Casino of Tucumán is still opened and it is chosen by those who are looking for entertainments. Besides its multiple games, there is a restaurant and several performances can be appreciated there too.
