One of the fastest-growing modalities worldwide is Rural Community Tourism, which is characterized by the participation of tourists in the activities of the daily life of a town, which leads to the appropriation of their traditions and customs and the transmission and awareness of their cultural and symbolic heritage.

This type of tourism is offered in different parts of the province and covers a multiplicity of activities such as accommodation, gastronomy, experiences in craft workshops, rural chores, cultural talks and observation of flora and fauna, among many others, always within a framework of respect for local identities.

One of the main destinations that offers this experience in Tucumán is Talapazo, a gem located in the Calchaquí Valley, where it is possible to experience and share ancient practices with the host native community. In this place located at 2.100 meters high, surrounded by mountains and dotted with cacti and pircas (stone walls), you can participate in the cultivation and harvest of fruits, the preparation of typical foods and homemade sweets, ancestral ceremonies to the Pachamama and night bonfires where the couplets, myths and legends fill the silence of the valley. The town of Talapazo will welcome you like family. You can visit it throughout the year, always with a prior reservation. The contacts are Sandro: 3813277089 and Paola: 3816222254.

How to get to Talapazo? Leaving from San Miguel de Tucumán, we go up to the Calchaquí Valley and, from Amaicha, about 26 kilometers north along National Route No. 40, at km. 4,301, is the entrance to the town. In the main square of the town is the visitor registration area and the barbecue area.

Community rural tourism seeks for visitors to learn the daily tasks of the town.
