Located in Amaicha del Valle, this museum also called “The Stone House” displays the characteristic features of the Calchaquí Valley. Throughout its rooms it is possible to observe the minerals found in the soil of the region; collections of vessels, utensils, clothing, instruments and sculptures from different pre-Columbian cultures. There are also paintings and tapestries made with the wool of local animals. One of the main attractions of the museum is its patio, similar to a stone fortress where you can find sculptures of the Pachamama, the Inti (Sun god), Quilla (the Moon goddess), the two-headed viper of the Awada culture, the warrior of the moon and the table of the 12 aboriginal chiefs.

July: From Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

General admission $4,000.
