Sugar

Avocado
Avocado is our undisputed star and a must-have to accompany every dish. It is grown on our land, with the commitment of our farmers who provide it with freshness and satiety.
Did you know that Tucumán is the first national producer of avocado? Our territory has around 1000 hectares cultivated and the product is sold to neighboring countries such as Chile and Uruguay. Likewise, around this crop, high-quality edible oil began to be produced, The oil is obtained through cold pressing of its pulp.
Strawberry
From our fields directly to your table, the flavor of Tucuman strawberries travels to explode in your palate. The province has high-quality strawberries, which makes it the second-largest producer and the first exporter at the national level.
Identifiable by their crimson red color, their fleshy interior, sweet flavor, and small black seeds on the outside, strawberries are an important source of vitamin C, as well as being the base for the preparation of sweets, jams, juices, jellies, preserves and liqueurs.
Blueberry
Grown under the Tucuman sun, acidity and freshness find their perfect dose in our blueberries, which with their very particular flavor and color enrich any dish.
Tucumán has advantageous conditions for growing this fruit, stimulating its expansion in the province. Today we are one of the main blueberry producers in Argentina, occupying the first place as a national exporter.
Wheat
Tucumán has three flour mills and two important noodle factories. Part of this production is consumed within the province while the rest is sold to other provinces or exported.
Lemon
Internationally famous, Tucuman lemons provide the ideal freshness and acidity to give an undeniable identity to our recipes.
A citrus fruit, distinguished by its shape and acidic flavor, lemon juice is concentrated inside in segments similar to those of an orange.
Tucumán is recognized as the International Lemon Capital for being the world's leading producer and processor of this fruit, and both fresh fruit and its derivatives are exported to other countries.
Blood Orange
Grown in Tucumán, this orange is different from the common one due to the presence of anthocyanin, which gives its interior a red color that can vary from a soft red to an intense one. This fruit is recognized for its antioxidant properties and can be used to make juices and desserts.
Grape
The Tucumán wine region extends through the impressive Calchaquí Valley, characterized by its cold climate in winter, hot in summer, and mostly dry, also favored by high exposure to the sun during 350 days a year. It is one of the highest wine production areas in the world. The Wine Route is a special tourist attraction due to its extraordinary landscapes and its rich cultural history that combines the aboriginal heritage and the Spanish and Jesuit colonial legacy.
Corn
Corn is one of the most important crops in the world, and in Tucumán its use by indigenous peoples has been recorded since ancient times. For this reason, it is present in recipes of the ancestral cuisine of the territory and in those inherited that are currently great exponents of northern gastronomy.
Cayote
Similar to the watermelon in shape, the cayote fruit has a fibrous pulp, flat seeds, and a hard shell. In Tucumán it is used to make a regional sweet that can be served alone or accompanied with cheeses and nuts.
Cuaresmillo
They are similar to small peaches and their name comes from the time of their harvest, which coincides with "Lent". It is used to make sweets and today it is also incorporated into gourmet dishes as an accompaniment.
Tuna
This fruit comes from a tropical plant belonging to the cactus segment and has a gelatinous pulp and sweet flavor. It is used to make juices, salads, sweets or to eat as fresh fruit.
Batata
It is recognized as the sweet potato for its characteristic flavor and is used to make different regional recipes such as sweet potatoes in syrup or stew. This dessert is eaten with cheese or quesillo (a regional kind of cheese), and can also be used as a complement to meats.
Cayote sweet
This is a traditional sweet made by hand and is highly sought after by tourists. It can be accompanied with different additions such as nuts, almonds, ice cream, or cheese. In addition, today it is used to make gourmet desserts.
Tafí cheese
This is an original Tafí cheese characterized by its artisanal production inherited from the Jesuits. It has certain properties granted by each step of its preparation such as temperature, humidity, and bacteria.
Orange
Citrus fruits are, without a doubt, the great protagonists of Tucumán. Oranges, with their characteristic vibrant aroma and intense flavor, manage to enhance any recipe. Our producers are responsible for preserving their essence so that you can marvel at each bite.
