Milanese Sandwich
Milanese Sandwich
A dish that identifies Tucumán in the country, the sandwich creates an explosion of flavors on the palate.

It is, without a doubt, one of the most delicious and popular dishes in every corner of the province. It consists of a sandwich on toasted "sanguchero" bread with numerous layers of fried milaneses, tomato, lettuce, and toppings as its main ingredients. As extras, you can add a fried egg, cheese, sautéed or raw onion, and hot pepper.
Since 2022, its National Holiday has been celebrated during October, when attendees can sample this specialty made by sandwich shops throughout the province.
Furthermore, the milanese sandwich has its own day in the province. Every March 18th, this dish is celebrated to commemorate the passing of the great José Norberto Leguizamón, owner of the famous "Chacho" sandwich shop, who left us in 2010.
