Faith Route in the Yungas Tucumanas
Faith Route in the Yungas Tucumanas

Religion is a vital part of visiting cities and countries worldwide, with faith serving as the main motivation. Tucumán is no different, and in each of its tourist routes, you can find sites and temples of significant religious, historical, and cultural importance.
In the Yungas, some of the most impressive temples and religious monuments stand out, nestled in scenic landscapes. Notable examples include the Sacred Heart Church, a charming neo-Gothic chapel that contrasts with the greenery of Villa Nougués; the Cristo Rey Monastery, built by Benedictine monks in El Siambón, where silence prevails and artisanal products are available for purchase; and the Blessing Christ, a 28-meter-tall statue created by artist Juan Carlos Iramain that crowns San Javier Hill and is now featured in a nightly mapping show.
