The Calchaquí Valley of Tucumán has arid and extensive landscapes that hypnotize anyone, with the cardones as the protagonists of the road. It combines amazing panoramic views and the entire historical, cultural, archaeological, and mythological heritage of the native peoples.

This experience integrates several must-see destinations such as Tafí del Valle, with dream landscapes, popular festivals, and agrotourism; Amaicha with its deep archaeological and cultural legacy, its Pachamama Festival and its ancestral customs; El Mollar with the calm offered by the La Angostura dam and the vestiges of the native peoples that materialize in its menhirs; and Colalao del Valle, which allows you to know its wineries, temples to taste wines and high-altitude varietals.

El Pichao is also waiting for you to try their artisanal sweets based on quince and cayote (a species of squash); the Sacred City of Quilmes, one of the main archaeological sites in the country; the Ampimpa Astronomical Observatory, a magical window to the Universe where you can learn about our skies; and Abra del Infiernillo, an imposing viewpoint with a landscape beauty that captivates everyone who visits it.

Finally, the circuit contains all the charm of Talapazo, which invites you to live an incredible experience of community rural tourism and the authenticity of Famaillá, the famous National Capital of the “Empanada” (they are a kind of small cakes generally filled with chicken or meat), which is eagerly waiting for you to try this delicacy that identifies us worldwide.

The Los Zazos Dam is one of the natural attractions of Amaicha del Valle.
