Southern Experience
Exuberant nature, great gastronomy and a rich cultural heritage await you in the south.

The exuberance of the landscapes of Aconquija National Park will take your breath away.
The south of Tucumán is extensive, with urban centers of great importance and enormous potential in which great landscape attractions coexist with products of great cultural interest.
Touring the South requires a mandatory visit to Concepción, recognized by the roar of Nasif Estéfano's engines; to experience nature at its maximum splendor in the Aconquija National Park; to be amazed by The Ruins of La Ciudacita, with incalculable cultural value; and to visit one of the most important enclaves of Tucumán tradition, the Simoca Fair, where it is possible to taste regional sausages and the bride’s cake (a traditional bittersweet meal) and take a ride in a sulky (a small carriage).
Visiting the south allows you to enjoy a musical evening in Monteros, the Fortress of Folklore, and take home a randa (an artisanal fabric) as a souvenir, a cultural heritage of the province; celebrate carnivals in Aguilares; tour the Ruins of San José de Lules, testimony of the time of the Spanish conquest; venture into the imposing Escaba Dam and sail its waters; visit the ancient tunnels of Rumi Punco and cool off in the Los Pizarro waterfall, a true hidden treasure of southern Tucumán, in La Cocha.

The Escaba Dam is a perfect setting to relax in front of the water or practice water sports
