Artisan Route
Artisan Route
It is a star product when visiting the Calchaquí Valley of Tucumán, it is an excellent way to experience our ancestral culture with the artisans as luxury hosts.

Did you know that the techniques used by artisans are transmitted from generation to generation?
It is one of the star products to visit in Tucumán and consists of a self-guided tour that invites you to discover and get to know the essence and culture of the Calchaquí Valley. The artists, true protagonists of the route, open the doors of their workshops to share their stories and customs with you and show you the process of making the unique pieces they make with their hands through techniques passed down from generation to generation.
Along the Route, you will find crafts made with a wide variety of materials: ornaments made of ceramic or carved in stone, metal jewelry, leather accessories and clothing woven or spun with wool dyed based on natural pigments.
The journey along this route can be done by private vehicle thanks to a signage system that will guide you to each workshop or by hiring a tourism agency since the distances between some workshops are long and the roads are cobbled and winding. If, on the other hand, you want to visit some workshops close to the villa on foot, it is advisable to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. You can find brochures with addresses and telephone numbers at the Information Office.
To make purchases, it is advisable to have cash, since some artisans do not have a virtual payment system due to connectivity issues. In the tourist village, you can find ATMs to withdraw money.
