Avellaneda Park

It is a perfect green space to enjoy with family due to the children's play complex in its center. Likewise, it is ideal for taking a break from the day and having a coffee with a refreshing view. In recent times, the park area has been filled with gastronomic proposals to enjoy the nights. During the weekends, it is the meeting point for artisans who offer all their authenticity in handmade products.

From this site, you can admire the imposing Bicentennial Monument, created in tribute to the 200 years of Argentine Independence and which today is an iconic point of the capital. In front of the park is the West Cemetery, inaugurated in 1872, the oldest in the city, and where the remains of numerous personalities from the history of Tucumán rest.

Guillermina Park

This park, which covers approximately 35 hectares, constitutes an important green lung of San Miguel de Tucumán. It is an ideal space to spend moments outdoors, have picnics, or take children to enjoy and play. Adults, for their part, can take advantage of its large area to practice different activities such as bike rides or simply jogging or running. Every year, during September, this park becomes the scene of an emotional performance in honor of the heroes of the Battle of Tucumán, a tribute that has the participation of more than 50 actors, being an unmissable plan if you find yourself in town for the date.

July 9 Park

This park is the main promenade and green lung of the capital of Tucumán. It was designed by the famous French architect Carlos Thays and inaugurated for the celebrations of the centenary of Independence in 1916.

The Park has some iconic attractions such as the floral clock, the rose garden whose flowers spread their perfume throughout the place, Lake San Miguel, and a great gastronomic offer with bars and restaurants that include games for children. For those who want to do physical activity in contact with nature, this site is perfect for its healthy slopes and trails that allow you to explore its entire length. The park has an immense variety of trees and contains numerous monuments and sculptures to see during your visit.

Urquiza Square

It is the second important square after Plaza Independencia and owes its name to Justo José de Urquiza, an Argentine politician and military man. Located in the heart of Barrio Norte and marked by numerous iconic buildings such as the San Martín Theater, the Tucumán Casino, the former Provincial Legislature, and the Bartolomé Mitre National School. The square has games for children and healthy tracks for those who want to do physical activity. Furthermore, whether with the first rays of the morning sun, the warmth of naps, or the first stars of the evening, the cafes and bars that surround it become the main meeting point.

San Martin Square

Located in the heart of the Southern Neighborhood, it is one of the busiest squares in the city. In its center, a statue stands in honor of General José de San Martín. The space is perfect for enjoying a picnic with friends, doing physical activity on its trails, or simply resting under the sun's rays. In recent times, the square has been surrounded by bars that give it more life during the mornings and afternoons. During the weekends, San Martín Square brings together residents from all over the city to a large craft and gastronomic fair.

Belgrano Square

Another of the main green walks in the Southern Neighborhood is the Belgrano Square. It is important for national history since the “Campo de las Carreras” was in that area. It is the place where the Battle of Tucumán took place, a crucial combat for achieving Argentine Independence. This square houses the oldest monument in the city, the “Column of Chacabuco” which was commissioned by General Manuel Belgrano in honor of General San Martín. This space is ideal for enjoying a picnic on the grass, taking children to play, doing physical exercise, or having a snack in the bars located around it. On weekend nights, the square becomes a meeting point for the city's residents who come to enjoy gastronomic fairs.

Alberdi Square

It is located in front of the General Bartolomé Mitre Railway Station Tucumán, which stands out for its building magnitude and because at the time it was one of the busiest stations in the northern region of the country. In its center is the statue of Juan Bautista Alberdi, created by the renowned artist Lola Mora. It is an ideal place to practice physical activity and enjoy a coffee in the bars around it.

General Bernabé Aráoz Square

It is the main square of Monteros, a thriving city on the Southern Circuit of Tucumán. Hydrangeas of endless shades stand out and the Nuestra Señora del Rosario Parish stands out in one of its corners, with its recognizable light blue domes. The space has a recreation area for children and benches to rest, a variety of monuments of Historic figures, and a fountain. Around it, there are bars and breweries full of young people. It invites you to come in and try their specialties in a setting of garlands that add color to the night.
