Located in the Historic Center of the capital, this old house built between 1836 and 1837 was the residence of the former governor José Manuel Silva and the birthplace of Nicolás Avellaneda, president of the Nation between 1874 and 1880. Known as “The House of the Hundred Doors”, since 1976 it has housed the museum where the history of Tucumán is exhibited from its first foundation in Ibatín in 1565 and the transfer to its current location in La Toma in 1685 until its subsequent social, political and economic development. In its eleven rooms; weapons, clothing, documents, and agricultural tools are exhibited.

July: From Tuesday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
