Collection of the Miguel Lillo Museum of Natural Sciences.
Very close to the city center, there is a jungle where it is possible to immerse yourself to learn in-depth about the flora and fauna of the region. The museum owes its name to Miguel Lillo, a Tucumán reference in studying natural sciences. He donated his property and collections to create a foundation that provides academic support to this cultural space.
In one of its rooms, a large collection of insects, butterflies, bees, beetles, and different species of arachnids are displayed, while in another… large mammals and other animals from the African and Asian continents are exhibited. In the Paleontology enclosure, meanwhile, you can see skeletons of large mammals that date back 10,000 years, such as the Sabertooth tiger or the Glyptodont. The museum is complemented by the open-air exhibition that constitutes the institution's botanical garden.
Address: 251 Miguel Lillo Street, San Miguel de Tucumán.
