If you visit the Calchaquí Valley and want to learn more about its past and history, this interesting site is a must on your itinerary.

It is located just 34 kilometers from San Miguel de Tucumán, on the property where General José de San Martín rested in 1814, before undertaking the liberation campaign of Argentina, Chile and Peru. This museum displays audiovisual material, books, San Martin’s iconography and a replica of the curved saber that the Father of the Nation used in the battles of Independence.
