Lules
The traces of the Jesuit past in our province await you in this destination!

Jesuit Ruins of San José de Lules.
One of the must-sees of this destination are the Ruins of San José de Lules, located on Provincial Route No. 311, which constitute an important testimony of the time of the Spanish conquest. The first public school in the country operated on this site and it was also where the Jesuit fathers first cultivated sugar cane in Tucumán.
Another of the main attractions of Lules is its Quebrada, accessed from the left bank of the river. It is an ideal place for nature lovers to take walks and horseback rides surrounded by the native flora and fauna.
If you are interested in exploring the Faith Route of this destination, you can visit the Founding Church, the first public building constructed on November 20, 1851 by the city's founder.
