In recent times, in parallel with the increase in the dependency that electronic devices generate in people, another unique process is also taking place: the rise of a new type of tourism: detox tourism, which aims to cleanse the mind and the body of the excesses generated by the excessive consumption of technologies. Stress and anxiety are some of the current problems that this type of tourism comes to combat with landscapes and destinations where nature occupies a leading place.

Walk through the Yungas to disconnect

The Yungas is a famous ecosystem due to its intense greens, its clouds that can be touched with the tips of your fingers and a super diverse flora and fauna that surprise at every step. Below are two low-difficulty trails ideal for adventuring:

• Puerta del Cielo (Heaven Door) Trail: after 1 hour and a half of walking, starting from the primary health care center of Horco Molle, it is possible to find the landscapes of the San Javier hill, from where you can see panoramic views of the city in the middle of green crowned by the imposing presence of the Blessing Christ.

• Noque River Waterfall Trail: after 30 minutes of walking from kilometer 10 of provincial route 340 it is possible to find a charming hidden waterfall that emerges from the Yungas. The place is ideal for taking a magnificent postcard on your retina.

A walk through the immensity of El Cadillal

Just 20 minutes from the capital of Tucumán is the Celestino Gelsi dam, surrounded by the Medina Hills. It is one of the main destinations to relax doing different activities such as boat rides or kayaking, depending on the physical demand sought. If you choose the first, you can see movie-like sunsets from the boat or its terrace with a 360° lake view. On the other hand, if you prefer a little more adrenaline, the plan is to grab the oars and let yourself be carried away by the gentle movement of the water.

A horse ride through San Javier Hills

25 kilometers from San Miguel de Tucumán, crossing the city of Yerba Buena and traveling along provincial route 340, is the town of San Javier, a destination recognized for its hills covered with lush vegetation. It has viewpoints that allow you to obtain amazing panoramic views of the city, and the great figure of the Blessing Christ whose presence provides a mystical halo to the town. One of the most pleasant activities to do is horseback riding to immerse yourself in the vast vegetation crossed by mountain rivers. The tranquility that the horse's gait provides transports you at a different pace than everyday life.

A valley to forget about the screens

The sound of water is one of the favorites when looking for relaxation. At the same time, changing the height of a building to that of a mountain can be that new perspective that is needed to give life a breath of fresh air. The Calchaquí Valley, just over 100 kilometers from the capital, offers all this. Its high peaks bring you closer to a landscape completely different from that of the Yungas that accompany the entire winding road to the destination. There you can add two options to the route:

• Los Alisos Waterfall Trail: this trail that begins in El Mollar and lasts approximately two hours surprises with one of the hidden gems of the valley, the Los Alisos Waterfall, which awaits as a reward to cool off and take a souvenir postcard.

• El Pelao Trail: whether in its 5 or 9-kilometer version, the trail begins on provincial route 325 and takes 2 and 3 hours of walking, respectively. It is of low difficulty and offers unparalleled views of the La Angostura dam, Tafí, El Mollar, and the mountains that frame the valley.
