There is a destination very close to the city that is eagerly awaiting your visit. It is San Javier, the traditional tourist town located just 25 kilometers from San Miguel de Tucumán, which is accessed through a winding route where the exuberance of the Yungas invades every inch of the landscape and makes you fall in love with it from the start.

You only have to reach the top of the hill to find the Cristo Bendicente Tourist Complex, crowned by the 28-meter-high figure built by the renowned Tucumán sculptor Juan Carlos Iramain, and with panoramic views of the city that leave everyone breathless.

The town offers a varied proposal to spend a full day, whether you are looking for adrenaline or simply enjoying an afternoon of relaxation. It is advisable to visit the Active Tourism office where you can learn about all the activities on offer to venture into the destination by water, land or air with the possibility of cooling off at the Noque River Waterfall, paragliding or discovering trails by bike or on foot. In addition, it is suggested to visit the Information office in the town to make the most of every second of the day.

A stay in San Javier is also ideal for shopping for a variety of products and crafts made by entrepreneurs in the area. In addition, in the complex you can buy gifts from the destination, regional gifts, food and drinks.

Now, after an intense day it is always good to recharge your batteries, and what better way to do it than framed by the impressive views offered by the San Javier hill, either in the complex's bar or having a picnic in the large green spaces of the destination.

Night falls and San Javier continues to surprise, this time with the amazing mapping show “Shinning Christ”, which is projected onto the imposing figure that crowns the top of the hill. For 10 minutes, it is possible to connect with faith and spirituality in a mystical setting. It is completely free and is suspended in case of rain.

If you plan a stay in the tourist village to wake up close to the clouds, the commune has a varied offer of accommodations that can be found at the following link: https://shorturl.at/KLMY5.
