La Ciudacita Ruins
La Ciudacita Ruins

Located in Aconquija National Park, these archaeological ruins represent the southernmost tip of the Inca empire. They are impressive in their size and consist of one-meter-high stone walls where you can observe the ravages of time and the activity of various mammals on the site.
Their construction addressed the need to establish relationships with the people of the plains because it provided an open view of the area where the sun rises. These settlements were abandoned around the middle of the 17th century, at the end of the Second Calchaquí War.
