Located in the historic center of the city, this museum is housed in the mansion where Nicolás Avellaneda, President of the Nation from 1874 to 1880, was born. Known as "The House of the Hundred Doors," it has housed the museum since 1976. The museum highlights the history of Tucumán, from its first founding in Ibatín in 1565 and its move to its current location in 1685, to its social, political, and economic development.
Its halls showcase weapons, clothing, documents, and agricultural tools, among other elements that make up its heritage.
Hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Closed Sundays and holidays.
