San Pedro de Colalao

One of the most renowned summer resorts, San Pedro has numerous attractions to discover. Its central plaza is the main public promenade, lined with bars that, in the afternoons and evenings, become a perfect gathering spot for families and groups of friends. Facing the plaza is the town's Civic Cultural Center, a popular space offering a variety of artistic offerings, especially during summer and winter vacations and long weekends.

A few meters from the plaza, you can see the traces of the cultures that inhabited the region in the Doctor Manuel García Salemi Museum. San Pedro also boasts the Piedra Tallada archaeological heritage, where you can observe signs carved by ancient cultures in honor of fertility and harvests.

Known as the Branch of Heaven for its replica of the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in France, San Pedro is also an ideal destination to connect with your faith in a dreamlike landscape. The "Apparition of the Mother of God" mapping show is offered in the grotto at dusk, offering a truly immersive catechesis.

With numerous trails and viewpoints that allow you to appreciate the town from above, San Pedro is also a perfect destination for outdoor adventure. One of the main walks culminates at the Puente del Indio, a natural bridge formed by the erosion of time and water. Another must-see is the Monte Bello natural viewpoint, from which you can see the town in all its splendor.

Without a doubt, you can't leave San Pedro without trying its delicious humitas en olla (potted humitas), by far the most delicious in Tucumán. It's worth noting that every January, the town hosts the National Festival of this dish, an event that brings together thousands of people.
