Located just over 160 kilometers from the capital and at 2,000 meters elevation, Amaicha is a must-visit destination in the Calchaquí Valley, where visitors can experience the magic of ancestral culture under the spirit of Pachamama.

Among its main attractions are the Pachamama Museum, which showcases the culture and traditions of the Valley, and the Los Amaicha community winery, known for being the first in the country and the third worldwide to be managed by an indigenous community.

Amaicha is also known for its natural beauty, which is fully displayed at the infiernillo and Los Zazos Dam, a water mirror reflecting the Calchaquí peaks. From there, you can visit the waterfalls of El Remate, another hidden gem of the valley. Lastly, a must-see is the Desert of Tiu Punco, which will lead you to some of the most stunning landscapes.

Without a doubt, one of the best times to visit Amaicha is in February for the National Festival of La Pachamama, the oldest woman in the Valley, where you can experience its most ancestral traditions and culture.
